Sports Journalist, Digital Media Specialist

 

Since a young age Angela knew that she could put the two things that she absolutely loved (Public Speaking and Basketball) together.

 

Upon graduating Marist High School in 2012, Angela went and visited numerous amount of schools in which had a good basketball program and Communication Program for student-athletes. She chose to attend to Centenary University where she majored in Communication; Radio and Television.where she later graduated in 2016. 

 

With the help of her Advisor and numerous amount of professors and mentors, she got the opportunity to meet and hear several stories from people within the Television and broadcasting Industry such as CBS Sports Vice President Harold Bryant, News 12 New Jersey Anchors, ESPN Analysts and Free Lance Journalists. After listening to their journey on how they got to the top, Angela was immediately inspired by their work ethic and perseverance to want to further and have a more successful career .

  

Straight out of college Angela worked for the National Basketball Association (NBA), where she worked in the Content Department Alongside the Game Distribution Center where she manually controls the commercials and programming for NBA League pass viewers all throughout the world. Which lasted a year and a half. 

 

Just last month she finished working for CBS Sports Network in New York City where she worked part-time in the production room as a game logger and observing Directors and Assistant Directors On how to build a show. 

 

Angela just recently Accepted an offer from ESPN as a FULL-TIME Content Associate in the Digital and social media department where she will be curating content for millions of viewers all over. 

 

Aside from her newly acquired ESPN position; Angela is a member of NABJ( National Association of Black Journalists), BGIM (Black Girls in Media), CEO and founder of her OWN Platform in which she Hosts, Directs, Produce and Edits Professional, Semi-Professional and elite talent on her show entitled "Off The Bench" which was launched in May 2017.
